The University Department of Chemistry, University of Mumbai, established in the year 1967, conducts two year post-graduate course in Organic, Inorganic, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry, leading to the award of M. Sc. (By Papers) degree of the University of Mumbai. In addition, it also conducts programs for M. Sc. (By Research), and Ph. D. degrees. On behalf of the University of Mumbai, the Department also acts as a centralized admission center for admission to M. Sc. (By Papers) course under different zones for the benefit of the students registering at the various affiliated colleges.
